Vid Ingelevics is based in Toronto, Canada, where he works as an educator, artist and independent curator. For almost 30 years his artwork has been concerned with the relationship between various forms of remembrance and the representation of the past.
Often working in an installation format (with a strong emphasis on photography) his projects have ranged from explorations of the pathology of personal and institutional memory to the impact of forced displacement on refugees and succeeding generations. His work has been seen in exhibitions in Canada and has toured Europe extensively. -
