Working in a variety of media, James Bidgood is best known for his film and photography. His 1971 film Pink Narcissus took 7 years to make, using elaborate sets he made in his small apartment. He distanced himself from the production, so for years this work was not attributed to him, however in 1999 TASCHEN released a monograph of his still from the production and the film was re-released in 2003.
