PRIDE 2023

PRIDE 2023 showcases photographs of Pride celebrations from the 1980s and 90s, as well as important writers and activists of the era, offering a reminder of the vital sense of protest and thought-leadership required of LGBTQ+ people and their allies to achieve the societal acceptance that our community tentatively enjoys today. 

This collection features compositions by Barbara Alper, and Saul Bromberger & Sandra Hoover, whose cameras have always been drawn to views of community, activism, and allyship, alongside a selection of portraits from Robert Giard's landmark series, Particular Voices: Portraits of Gay and Lesbian Writers.
