André Kertész (1894-1985) was fascinated by the technical capabilities and restrictions of the photographic medium. Throughout his lifetime he embraced new technology, and devoted countless hours trying to master it. He prided himself in determining the possibilities of new technology, then worked hard to discover how he could make it do even more.
